Stock landscape and outdoor adventure photos from Oregon, Washington, and the Pacific Northwest

New Outdoor Adventure Gallery at Pacific Crest Stock Photography

This is an announcement that we’ve have been waiting to make for quite some time.  Pacific Crest Stock has recently created a new Outdoor Adventure gallery that includes images of people interacting with the natural environment.  At this point, we’re limiting our collection to photos of people participating in human-powered sports, such as hiking, mountain biking, backpacking, rock climbing, mountaineering, backcountry skiing, and fly fishing.  We’re working hard to expand our collection, and anticipate that we will be adding to the list of outdoor adventure sports in the near future.  Just to give you a hint of what you’ll find in the new gallery, we have posted some of our favorite new Oregon stock photos below.

    Joshua,
Thanks for visiting our site. It is good to hear from you outside of flickr as well as inside! Your photostream is looking great, as always. Your astronomy images continue to amaze me.

Joshua, thanks for reading through some of our entries and for taking the time to leave comments. We really appreciate them.

We’re pretty excited about some of these new outdoor adventure shots, and we’re actually getting pretty close to completing a cover-shot deal for one of them. I’ve never spent much time taking photographs of people, so honestly, this whole gallery has been quite the “adventure” for me. There’s definitely a learning curve there, but it’s been a fun change of pace . . . especially on days that I might not have otherwise taken any pictures at all.

    Thanks again,
    Troy

    Josh,
Because you’ve never been backpacking with Troy, I’ll give you some insider information. His “Outdoor Adventure” images are much better than his previous portfolio of people pictures. His previous collection consisted entirely of Troy posing in the tent with the literally dozens of stuffed animals that he insisted on bringing with him on our backpacking trips. Eventually, I convinced him that while his stuffed animals were very comforting to him and they helped him sleep at night, they didn’t necessarily constitute “Outdoor Adventure” and that they were actually “creepy” to me. Thankfully he has changed his comfort needing ways and focused on more rugged activities. I hope you had a great trip.
    Regards,
    Mike
